Show Review: Las Vegas is pretty in pink for Ella Red’s headlining tour

As Ella Red continues to the last stretch of her Tour’s Not Real: Part Two, she brought her energetic pop sensibilities to Las Vegas’ B Side at House of Blues. The Texas native dropped her debut studio album IT’S NOT REAL in January and subsequently hit the road, cultivating an energetic and dedicated fanbase of which more than a handful arrived donning bright pink hair to match the singer.

Before she hit the stage, New York City-based alt-pop artist Zoe Ko got the crowd stirring with a playful set, mostly consisting of her 2025 record still not ur girlfriend. A highlight of the set was her performance of “Party girls don’t cry,” to which many in the crowd sang along enthusiastically.

Shortly afterward, Ella Red got on stage to a raucous reception, opening with “Parasite” off her debut album and following with 2024’s “Representative”. A theatrical performer, it felt as though each bit of her show was considered all the way down to her dress, remembering to make a point of telling everyone she made it and all the dresses she has worn throughout the tour. After a handful of energetic songs, Red exited the stage at the end of “Party Animal” to make a costume change and shift gears a little. This began a softer side of her set as she gave an emotional rendition of “Aphrodite” and “Cupid”, the latter of which she dedicated to her sister. Soon enough, the concert reached its final stages and Red joked that she would in fact do the song-and-dance of exiting the stage only to return for an encore of three more songs.

Although the venue was on the smaller side compared with others she has played on this run of shows, Red brought all of the excitement and energy that makes her a rising figure in pop music.
