Magic City Hippies stopped at The Van Buren on Saturday night as part of their 2026 Winter Tour — though with temperatures hovering near 90 degrees in Phoenix, “winter” felt like more of a suggestion than a reality.
Opening the evening was Supertaste, currently on their first-ever tour. The duo brought glossy synths, tight rhythms and thick, funky basslines that carried a distinct 90s late-night television feel, setting the tone early with a polished, danceable sound.
Magic City Hippies moved seamlessly between upbeat, rhythm-forward tracks and smoother, melodic moments, keeping the room locked in from start to finish. Their stage presence remains a defining strength — confident, relaxed and deeply in sync. Crisp guitar work, steady percussion, and groove-centered arrangements created a set that felt both tight and effortless. The night delivered exactly what fans have come to expect from Magic City Hippies: infectious rhythms and engaging performance.
