Jake Scott’s Lavender Tour visited a jubilant Crescent Ballroom this weekend for a warm show full of excellent energy. The singer was joined by Sam McPherson and Brynn Cartelli at the second stop of the tour.
Brynn Cartell, winner of The Voice’s 14th season, took the stage first to kick off the night. Her stage presence and impressive vocal range showcased a deep talent and the beginning of a long career in music. She sang of love, friendship and heartbreak, sharing the moments that inspired the songs in between. The audience adored her and as the love permeated the room, Cartelli squealed in delight as couples kissed.
Sam MacPherson continued the evening with heartfelt, relatable lyrics. From a “sad song double-header” to the happy ending of his own love story as related in “Last Minute”, he led the audience on a journey through their own emotions, creating connection and setting the tone for the main event.
Pop singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jake Scott took the stage with energy and excitement, flaunting catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. In between songs, he shared the pieces of his journey that are reflected in his lyrics. While the majority of his music is pop, his recent collaboration with Russell Dickerson, “She Likes It”, is climbing the country charts as Scott flexed his multi-genre muscles on the fan-favorite track. He had the audience singing along throughout his set, and joined them on the floor for an even more intimate experience during “Good Day” from his most recent release.
The night was fun and comfortable for everyone in the crowd and Phoenix will be glad to welcome these talented artists back in short order.
