Show Review: Logic and G-Eazy’s Endless Summer continues in Arizona

The weather may have already started cooling down in Phoenix but The Endless Summer Tour: Part II turned up the heat with Logic and G-Eazy on Thursday night. The rappers were joined by Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J for a night of neon lights and a return to the road after a long time away.

Juicy J strolled onstage in his finest house shoes to completely rewrite the vibes of the show with a legendary lineup of songs. From “Weak Azz Bitch” to “Bandz a Make Her Dance”, the fans in the pit all the way to the back of the seats were on their feet shouting along. Juicy J kept that energy for the duration of his performance, hyping up the audience for the rest of the night.

It’s been well over three years since Logic has been on the road and with that time away, a great many changes have taken place that he was more than happy to wax poetic about in his supporting slot. From adding to his growing family to revisiting past work, Logic started his set with an opening monologue before launching into the familiar flow of “Contact” and “Everybody”. Bobby Bootleg himself had diehard fans in his audience and they reciprocated every ounce of energy pouring from the stage into a set that was simply a very long time coming. Arizona has always welcomed Logic with open arms and Thursday’s show was absolutely an overdue reunion.

The stage was set with a classic Ford Mustang parked in front of a massive video wall before G-Eazy bounded out to “Endless Summer”. He leaned his lanky frame nonchalantly against the car during “Tumblr Girls” before continuing with a dynamic set that had the amphitheatre bouncing along to a speedrun of songs. The stage was awash in more neon lights and visualizers on the LED screen as G-Eazy performed 24 songs from every corner of his catalog, eventually ending with “Eazy” and “Me, Myself & I” to round out another entry in Young Sinatra and Young Gerald’s Endless Summer.
