Two alternative rock behemoths rolled into Phoenix this week for Rise Against’s Ricochet 2026 Tour with Alkaline Trio. The prolific duo attracted a plethora of black-clad folks- from the aging rockers to the next generation of curious fans- to a packed house at Arizona Financial Theatre.
Alkaline Trio put a blinding level of production behind them with a wall of moving, flashing LED lights that illuminated the band in reds and blues while the audience squinted as they sang along to “Calling All Skeletons”, “Warbrain” and much more. The band had plenty of time to run through a career-spanning setlist, giving every fan in the room a piece of the past while continuing to look forward to the future of the group. Their performance was steady and enormously fun, as both the band and their audience left with nothing but huge smiles all around.
As one of the most consistently stellar live bands in modern rock, Rise Against took the stage with the confidence of skilled veterans and the energy of a group that genuinely loves being in front of their fans. Vocalist Tim McIlrath immediately made the audience part of the show, shouting through his signature megaphone for “Make It Stop (September’s Children)” and jumping onto the barricade into the waiting arms of the adoring crowd during “Give It All”. Backed by even more moving lights and colors, Rise Against delivered a set of nearly 20 songs before returning for an encore to really send Phoenix off with everything they came for and more. The Ricochet 2026 Tour continues on but Arizona fans are still holding on to the memories from another incredible visit from Rise Against.
