The Free Spirits Wellness Center was open for business last week for CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso’s headlining tour at Arizona Financial Theatre. The Argentinian experimental duo brought stunning production and an unforgettable musical experience to a venue full of fans dressed in their best to see this highly anticipated show.
After a cleansing sound bath opened the evening, a curtain rose on a series of draped platforms as the pair threw themselves onto the dual examining chairs to start the set with “No me sirve más” and “Nada nuevo”. Their initial wacky outfits were discarded in favor of sleek black ensembles as they whipped towels above their heads for the cheeky “Ay ay ay” while the pit jumped in unison. Watching the room, it was clear that some attendees were not expecting the experience happening before them but anyone holding back quickly got on board with the evening’s shenanigans.
CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso traded off when it came to the vocals in each song- from CA7RIEL’s soaring voice to Paco’s distinct harsh rasp, their flow was airtight and undeniably impressive. CA7RIEL also took several turns on guitar, strumming away on “Hasta Jesús tuvo un mal día”, “Impostor” and “Vida loca” before really showing off his skills with shredding solos throughout the set.
The audience, for their part, came prepared to party- dressed in outfits mimicking the group and armed with signs in both English and Spanish to get the duo’s attention on the barricade. As the night went on, a prerecorded voice walked the fans through the steps to become free spirits in conjunction with the theme of the night- a process that took the room on a journey of letting loose with the guys. It was a production that involved props, multiple outfit changes and a requirement to get up and dance.
Midway through their lengthy setlist, CA7RIEL threw himself into the audience to jump with an ecstatic section of fans and Paco was not far behind. The party continued with “Dumbai”, “Todo ray” and “Lo quiero ya!” before the crowd really went wild for “La que puede, puede”. No two songs were even remotely alike, with the pair pulling from influences spanning reggaeton, trap, hip hop and even rock, all backed by a stellar band.
While the audience worked on picking up their jaws from the floor, the duo returned for an encore of the Fred Again… remix to “Beto’s Horns” and closed a weird and wonderful set with “Himno del mediocre”. CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso are not newcomers but their star is still very much on the rise- the Free Spirits tour concluded the United States leg with this Phoenix show, cementing this one as a top tour of 2026 and upping the ante for their next visit to the desert.
