Indie electro-pop trio Cannons has already dominated radio charts with songs like “Fire For You” and “Bad Dream,” but instead of coasting, they’re staying busy — they’ve reinvented how they work, write, record, and even sound over the past few years. The result? The highly anticipated album, Everything Glows, that they released last Friday. On the Afterglow Tour, which they brought to the Arizona Financial Theatre on Tuesday night, they were as entrancing as ever, creating an otherworldly atmosphere on stage with billowing smoke and a shining crescent moon overhead. Vocalist Michelle Joy’s ethereal voice balanced with sparkly synths and hypnotic rhythms, enrapturing the crowd, and we basked in the glow.
