Gallery: Taylor Acorn blazes into Crescent Ballroom on headlining fall tour

Alternative rock singer and force of nature Taylor Acorn swept into Crescent Ballroom last week with a new album and a set curated to keep the room on their feet. She whipped her signature blonde and red hair in time with the beat of nearly 20 songs and the fans were right there, reaching for the stage and giving just as much energy back to Acorn during her performance.

While there were plenty of older favorites on the list, Acorn took this tour as a chance to celebrate music from her latest album, Poster Child. The audience was ready, armed with all the lyrics to sing and dance along. Acorn was the picture of gratitude between tracks, endlessly thanking the fans for being there through a few false starts and rough times before her current music broke to wider audiences.

It’s easy to see why- Acorn has it all. Her vocals are steady and powerful, her stage presence is unapologetically fierce and undeniably welcoming and her lyrics have connected and resonated with audiences across the world looking for music they can relate to. The mark of a safe concert space is led by millennial parents bringing their children to shows and there were plenty of kids under 12 rocking out to Acorn’s anthemic tunes. She welcomed them all with arms thrown wide to accept everyone in the room as part of the band for the night and people left the ballroom with smiles plastered on their faces from such a positive concert experience.
