It’s been 14 years since the release of Torches and seven years since Foster the People has been on the road, but eager fans packed The Van Buren in Phoenix anyway to see opening night of the Paradise State of Mind Tour.
Good Neighbours, who are direct support on this run, brought their feel-good catalog to the stage to open the show. The whole room recognized viral track “Home,” but the entire set was full of good vibes.
The party continued with Foster the People, who leaned on their latest album while mixing in the heavy hitters from years past. “Helena Beat,” “Coming of Age,” and “Call it What You Want” were personal highlights, especially seeing how much fun the band was having along the way.
The Paradise State of Mind Tour continues through the eastern and southern U.S. before a short run in South America. Don’t miss it!
