This brand new year is already off to an amazing start and that was abundantly clear this week when Phantogram’s Running Through Colors Tour visited The Van Buren. Their Phoenix fans filled the venue to dance along to a plethora of hits from the band’s extensive catalog.
The warmup for this party came in the form of ethereal indie band Sunday (1994). The British and American trio transcends the confines of coastlines to create a sweeping sound that fully captivated the early audience. Singer Paige Turner’s hauntingly melancholic vocals filled every corner of the room and had fans eager to meet the group after their stunning performance.
Phantogram is no stranger to production at the highest levels and they brought an array of blinding strobes to their disorienting set. These flashing colors continued throughout the evening as the band ran through “Fall in Love”, “Mouthful of Diamonds” and much more. The dizzying set concluded with a three song encore that sent fans home to the tune of “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” and “When I’m Small”- the perfect first show of the year for many eager 2025 concert goers.
