Show Review: Kiss of Life rounds out 2024 with sold out performance in Phoenix

K-pop group Kiss of Life bestowed their “Midas Touch” upon the sold out crowd at The Van Buren this week. The quartet rounded out a busy year with their 1st World Tour [Kiss Road] and had the Phoenix fans enthralled with their stunning setlist.

Despite the minimal production, Kiss of Life members Julie, Natty, Belle and Haneul turned The Van Buren’s stage into a dazzling barrage of hair tossing, colorful lights and perfectly choreographed dance moves. The fans were already screaming during the aptly-named “Get Loud” and the shrieks intensified during “Igloo” and “Chemistry”.

The bouncy lyrics for “Too Many Alex” had everyone jumping and shouting the chorus of names alongside the group and the sultry “Te Quiero”  had the bass absolutely pulsing through the room. Fans on the barricade did everything they could to get the group’s attention as they chose one lucky lady to come onstage for a personal performance of “Nobody Knows”- and their fanservice was on another level.

A brief interlude shrouded the venue in darkness as messages from the girls boomed over the speakers. They returned for their viral hit “Sticky” as the sold out audience even attempted the choreography on the floor. The rest of the performance was a whirlwind of hits, concluding with “Shhh” before the quartet re-emerged in their tour hoodies for a three-song encore.

Kiss of Life only debuted in 2023 but their stellar performances and obvious group chemistry have quickly made them beloved among their growing fanbase (affectionately known as Kissy). Those fans are already selling out rooms for the group so we’re likely to see them reach even higher ground in 2025.
