Show Review: Mo Lowda & The Humble delivers the must-see indie tour of the fall

Wednesday night at Valley Bar, Mo Lowda & The Humble delivered an electrifying performance on their 2024 tour in support of their self-titled LP. Even before they played a single note, the energy in the room began to swell as the band set up their gear, with fans already buzzing in anticipation. Local band King Summer opened the night with a set that featured smooth indie grooves, providing a pleasant start as the crowd settled in. While the audience stayed back and seemed reserved, the music was easy to move to, laying the groundwork for the evening ahead.  

The moment Mo Lowda & The Humble took the stage, the atmosphere shifted. Opening with “Dark Horse,” they immediately commanded attention, and the crowd moved closer, ready to engage. The band’s synergy and dynamic stage presence were palpable as they powered through a set that balanced both old favorites and new material from their latest LP. Tracks like “Beachtown” drew the crowd in, while a surprise unreleased song created a buzz of excitement, giving fans something to look forward to.

The high point of the night came as the band wrapped up their main set with “Card Shark.” The room was alive with the energy of the performance, the crowd fully immersed in the experience. When the band returned for an encore, they delivered the hauntingly beautiful “Lunar Guidance,” leaving the audience in awe and creating a perfect close to a stellar night of music.
