Show Review: Games We Play electrifies Dallas House of Blues crowd

Games We Play’s headlining tour started another week off right with a packed House of Blues show in Dallas on Sunday. Zoe Ko and House Parties provided support for a room full of fans eager and ready to hear some electrifying tunes.

The group is out in support of their album, Life’s Going Great, and fans have been waiting for the chance to see more of these songs live. The trio of Emmyn Calleiro, Kyle Fink and Chase Varnon opened with “The End” and “Deadbeat” to the absolute delight of their audience. The energy from the crowd jumped up several notches as the set went on and fans sang loudly to “Typical Me”, “Get A Job”, “Hey Ben” and more. This curated an intimate atmosphere between fans and the band with the energy between the two being undeniable.

Continuing a bit from previous shows, Callerio brought out his younger brother to play bass as well as to tease him in true sibling fashion. The band closed out the night with “Girl Shaped Crater” and “I️ Hope You’re Okay” which had fans already experiencing the sadness that comes at the conclusion of a great gig.

The Life’s Going Great tour was an incredible evening in Dallas- Games We Play brought wild energy and an intimate dynamic between them and the crowd that definitely needs to be experienced in person. The band expressed their gratitude for fans and promised to return to Dallas with new music and bigger shows in the future as they continue on their first headlining run this spring.
