Show Review: ARIZONA closed out the 2023 concert season with sold out Phoenix extravaganza

There’s no better sendoff for the holiday season than a cozy sold out show at one of Phoenix’s best venues- and the crowd turned out in force to see ARIZONA in Arizona.

The New Jersey-based band brought Fly by Midnight along for the ride and the duo lit up The Van Buren with their opening set. Plenty of people in the audience were clearly familiar with their music and gave the band a lot of love as they jammed and danced their way through 35 minutes of killer songs. It was their last show of the year as well and their energy sent everyone off on a high note in preparation for ARIZONA.

ARIZONA (the band) loves visiting Arizona (the state) and- in their words- not just because of the joke. Phoenix has embraced this group over their many years of touring through the Valley and the numbers don’t lie- the venue was packed to the actual rafters with diehard fans decked out in the band’s shirts.

They were prepared to give Phoenix everything they had left to close out the year, decking out the stage with colorful lights and running through a 19-song setlist that had something for everyone in the mix. A particularly emotional moment came with their Avicii cover of “Hold the Line”- a softer interlude amidst the more upbeat vibes the band is known for.

The show was the best end of year holiday party the fans could ask for and successfully closed the 2023 concert season- we’ll be ready for more in 2024.
