Gallery: Royal Blood turns up the volume at The Van Buren in Phoenix

UK-based Royal Blood are on a tear through the U.S. on their North American tour promoting Back to the Water Below, and they’re bringing the loudest, crunchiest riffs you’ll hear all season. The blues rock duo stopped by The Van Buren in downtown Phoenix to deliver a rip roaring 18-song setlist to the sold out room, and crowd surfers abounded. From opening track “Mountains at Midnight” to radio singles “Trouble’s Coming” and “Typhoons” to a triple threat encore, the very air was pulsing with each note. Though the performance itself was a no-frills affair, Royal Blood injected excitement and passion into the set, and the fans couldn’t get enough.
