Gallery: Lewis Capaldi’s sold out headliner finally lands in Phoenix

His tour is sold out, his new album is on the way and Lewis Capaldi is out here having the time of his life. The prolific singer stopped in Phoenix last week for a packed show at Arizona Financial Theatre and took the opportunity to both enjoy the moment and have a little fun with his rapt audience.

With the massive success of his debut album and the subsequent forced tour cancellations during the pandemic shutdown, this tour is a return to form for Capaldi. His setlist is full of well-loved favorites but also included the gut-wrenching new single, “Wish You the Best”- along with the music video that had fans around the world in tears upon first viewing.

Midway through the set, Capaldi announced the appearance of his longtime friend Ed Sheeran- and after the ensuing uproar, his cheeky smile could be seen from the back of the room as he got a kick out of his own joke. The night concluded with “Someone You Loved” as the long wait to catch Capaldi in action finally reached its end.
