Show Review: The Kid Laroi’s End of the World Tour visits Phoenix

The Kid Laroi burst onto the scene and into the ears of young listeners when “Stay”, his collab with Justin Bieber, immediately went viral. Now, the young performer is finally on the road with an album under his belt and the party crash landed in Phoenix last week.

First up was Ericdoa- singer, rapper and hype man ready to pump up the room. He’s only 20 years old, but his energy invigorated the fans as he bounded across the stage and jumped from the drum riser throughout the set. The audience went crazy for his Euphoria-featured track “sad4whattt” before making way for the night’s headliner.

The Kid Laroi hid the Arizona Financial Theatre stage behind a massive curtain bearing his moniker before the lights went up and the banner came down. Joined by a DJ and a backing band, he came in hot with “Let Her Go” and “Same Energy”.

His teenage energy was matched by the crowd as they raised hands and glasses for songs like “F*ck You, Goodbye” and clear fan favorite “Selfish”. At this point, TKL and the fans had worked up a sweat jumping and dancing so he slowed things down just a little on “Thousand Miles” and the unreleased “Love Again”.

The night came to a close seemingly so quickly and “Stay” certainly had one of the loudest sing-a-long moments of the show. The packed room gave The Kid Laroi everything they had left for the final bow on “Without You” and a repeat of “Diva” at an adoring fan’s request.

The intensity of the show and the enormous amount of fun had by both artist and fans made this long wait for his visit worth every minute- and the crowd spilling into the rainy streets of downtown Phoenix definitely agreed.
