Gallery: Off The Grid Records throws down at first block party in Tempe

It’s not every day an inaugural event happens in the Valley, but Tempe played host to the first ever Off The Grid block party Sunday evening. Lucati, Deeper Purpose, and John Summit took over Mill Avenue to properly send off the weekend (and the summer) with house beats and jubilant energy.

With the party starting at 4pm, each DJ was slotted for at least two hours that let their styles shine. And attendees had plenty of time to maximize their day with any given bottomless brunch in Tempe. They danced under the bright Arizona sun, through the sunset, and under the rainbow of lights to popular dance tracks and the producers’ own music released on the Off The Grid label. Meanwhile, Summit himself meandered through the party to take selfies and shots with his fans.

The artists’ friendships, the scaled-down experience, and the fan interactions gave the event a true block party vibe, and everyone on the bill was living their best life — unfortunately for their haters.
