Third Eye Blind is just as good as you remember- they might actually be even better. The prolific rock group filled the house at Arizona Financial Theatre last week, joined by Taking Back Sunday, for an evening of all the hits.
Taking Back Sunday is permanently embedded in our emo memories and the group continues to put out stellar music and back it up with killer performances. Their setlist included fan favorites like “You’re So Last Summer” and “Cute Without the E”- and of course nothing beats screaming along to “MakeDamnSure” and “Liar (It Takes One to Know One).
Third Eye Blind took their production up a notch with dazzling lights and a stage setup that elevated the band on several platforms. All of this only added to the atmosphere of the show as devoted fans sang along to “Never Let You Go”, “Graduate” and “Jumper”.
It was a night of nostalgia and a reminder that many of our favorite bands are here to stay.
