Gallery: Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt bring NBA Leather to AZ

It was an evening of multifaceted hip hop in Tempe on Thursday as Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt’s NBA Leather Tour stacked fans to the rafters at Marquee Theatre. The two enormously popular rappers brought their different styles and vibes to a crowd massively excited for both acts and ready to shake the walls all night.

Earl Sweatshirt is lowkey both onstage and off, but as a result, his lyrics just hit different. Sure, sections of the crowd got hyped up but the majority of the room spent his set mesmerized by his slow walk and hard-hitting words.

Conversely, Action Bronson swaggered onstage with his energy already at an 11 and it only got rowdier from there. Eager fans in the first few rows brandished everything from shirts to books to vinyl, eventually showering the stage in merch for him to sign- and he didn’t miss a single beat or lyric while autographing each and every object. The biggest question of the night- how on earth did everyone get it all back?

Bronson barely paused for breath in his lengthy set and the audience ate up every single moment, squeezing as close as they could get as the evening went on. If Thursday was any indication, these two superstars are going to need a much bigger room next time.
