Show Review: Diehard fans turn up the vibes at Christian French’s Avalanche Tour

Music fans are constantly chasing good vibes and this quest has elevated some incredible artists. One such singer is pop soloist Christian French, who brought his Avalanche Tour to Phoenix on Friday.

French has clearly inspired diehard loyalty in his short time as a musician and those listeners were ready to turn up to his energetic mix of songs. His set was a killer 19 tracks and the audience knew every single word, hands outstretched to the stage all night.

He lamented the nearly two years of touring lost to the current pandemic, but instead of letting that drag down the mood of the show, he picked it right back up with a performance of “Oh Well” and “All Roads Lead to You”- two unreleased and highly anticipated songs. “I Think Too Much” and “Hungover Sunday” found the room breaking out their favorite dance moves, while a lukewarm reaction to Drake led to a hype cover of “Hold On, We’re Going Home”.

French made everyone in Crescent Ballroom’s small space feel warm and welcome, making sure to get a photo with the crowd before ending the evening with his viral single, “Avalanche”.
