“Caroline” by Boy in Space

Robin Lundbäck, better known as Boy in Space, is back in 2020 with new single “Caroline,” a buzzy pop track about an unattainable crush. The song starts out with a simple melody and swells into an earworm beat-driven chorus as his hopelessness and doubt reveal themselves. “Caroline is that girl that you’re crushing on but is completely out of your league and untouchable,” Boy in Space said noting that, “we all knew a Caroline growing up.”

“Modern Blues” by Ceramic Animal

The title of the track gives it away, but Ceramic Animal adds some bluesy riffs into their latest entry. They haven’t strayed from the psychedelia that got them the attention of acts like Weezer, The Growlers, and Father John Misty, but they sound just a bit more polished. Chris Regan almost rasps over the tune, and you’re transported to a simpler place and time just by listening. The self-proclaimed “nasty boys” are bringing soul back—all aboard the train.

WWE wrestler Alexa Bliss’ favorite band is Bowling for Soup so naturally, their friendship inspired a song. The track, released today and accompanied by a video featuring the wrestling star, is Bowling for Soup’s heaviest song in years. Both the band and Bliss have been singing each other’s praises for years and this collaboration kicks off BFS’ upcoming European tour. Check out the video here

“Slow Right Down” by Jeffrey James

This slow, pensive ballad is Nashville-based singer Jeffrey James’ introduction to his new EP. The East London EP will be released February 28 and tracks James’ journey overseas and the inspiration that came with the trip. He worked with some of pop’s top producers for a sound that draws heavily from James’ Tennessee influences and shows off his powerful, confident vocals.

Anna Dellaria

“Sorry Doesn’t Work” by Anna Dellaria

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Anna Dellaria has released this year’s anti-Valentine song. “Sorry Doesn’t Work” is a plea for someone to stay, even after they’ve been pushed away. Dellaria’s vocals are soft and earnest, giving listeners a stellar sad jam for everyone less that excited for the day of love.
