Show Review: Jingle Bash brings Why Don’t We, Loud Luxury, Bryce Vine to the Valley

Deafening screams of delight filled The Van Buren on Sunday for the 2019 Jingle Bash concert. Hosted by radio personalities from Phoenix’s Live 101.5 station, the show featured Bryce Vine, Loud Luxury and Why Don’t We.

Atlas favorite Bryce Vine was up first, and his sunny personality and catchy tunes had the fans dancing and shrieking the words. Vine was goofy and fun, spending time to really connect with his audience during his set. He played through all of his hits, including “La La Land” and, of course, “Drew Barrymore”. Vine’s time onstage was brief (it was a radio show after all), but that crowd wanted more and they’ll be sure to demand it next time he comes to town.

DJ duo Loud Luxury provided the EDM dance break of the evening with their high energy remixes to pop radio’s biggest hits. There was something for everyone during their set and the audience was jumping to the beat of their favorite songs. As a special treat, the duo brought Vine back to the stage for their collaboration smash single “I’m Not Alright”- thrilling the fans who shouted for even more from the two acts.

Why Don’t We transported a whole room of screaming females back to a time when boy bands ruled the music world. The quintet- consisting of Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson and Jonah Marais- had hearts racing with their meandering choreography and pretty-boy good looks. The group was truly swoonworthy as they bopped their way through songs from 2018’s 8 Letters. The best part? These boys can really groove. Each one took the spotlight at different intervals throughout their set and the screaming from the crowd managed to get even louder with every passing moment.  Clearly the age of the boy band is still going strong and the night ended with throngs of thrilled teens spilling onto the street and ready for the next time their idols returned to Phoenix.
