Bad Wolves tore up The Van Buren in Phoenix this week with a show that shook the venue. Joined by Fire From the Gods, the hard rock outfit celebrated their latest album, N.A.T.I.O.N.
Fire From the Gods started the night as the only opener on the tour, but they had the audience shouting and throwing their fists in the air from the opening notes of the set. The band’s energy was a perfect fit for Bad Wolves and plenty of people in the audience were just as excited for this opener as they were for the headliner. Fire From the Gods successfully warmed up the room with songs like “Truth to the Weak” and “Fight the World” before closing their set with “Excuse Me”.
Bad Wolves has had quite the year. From their massive opening stint for Papa Roach earlier in 2019 to this headlining run, the band is riding a wave of success that culminated with the release of N.A.T.I.O.N. They brought this energy and positivity to The Van Buren, spreading a message of action and gratitude to the roomful of eager fans.
They started the set with new track “No Messiah” and the night only got rowdier from there. Fans decked in the band’s shirts sang all the lyrics to songs like “Killing Me Slowly” and “Better the Devil” before calming slightly for an acoustic rendition of “Sober”. Bad Wolves also pulled out some stellar covers, closing their set with System of a Down’s “Chop Suey” and The Cranberries’ “Zombie”. While the room may not have been packed out, Bad Wolves are a band that are definitely on the rise and we’ll be seeing them fill rooms in the months to come.
